I don’t think you can fathom how often I’ve heard the phrase, “You can wear it again.” One look at Katherine Heigl’s wardrobe in ‘27 Dresses’ and I can understand how this phrase is frequently met with poorly concealed scepticism to blatant disbelief. Considering a bridesmaid dress is intended to match the flowers, the theme, the venue and the table setting to a tee, it is understandable that regardless of how beautiful the gown is, it’s no easy task to find an appropriate place to wear it again.

The Golden Globes is not just about recognising excellence in film and television – it’s about glamour! It is on the red carpet that we see our favorite celebrities adorning the creations of the world’s greatest designers. Ralph Lauren, Dior, Valentino and Armani- just to name a few!

It was so wonderful to be among such creative and talented wedding vendors. It is very rare that I get to step outside the showroom and mingle and share a glass of champs with other people in the industry…chat to the suppliers who I hear all about through our brides and bridesmaids, and meet brand new suppliers who are just as amazing!
 

Today, I’m feeling a little playful so I’ve matched my fave celebrity bridesmaids dresses with our own chic (if I do say so myself) collection. So what do you think? Are they a hot match?

So the Big Day has arrived, the bride is beautiful and the maids are looking pretty damn smoking hot too… all good so far! But if you’ve ever danced all night long you know that even if you’re glam at the beginning, it isn’t easy to look lily fresh from open to close. So since the maids have more responsibilities than wearing a beautiful bridesmaids dress, it’s up to them to make sure the bride (and themselves) make it through the night looking flawless and unscathed.

What is the first thought that crosses your mind when you hear “marble”? Do you think of kids’ games? Cake? Ripped Grecian statues? Want to know the first words that pop into my mind? “That’s one beautiful detail to add to your wedding!” I love the marbled effect and that’s why I’m so excited we have these breathtaking Amsale gowns arriving at the end of August. They are just ridiculously beautiful.

Back in the days of yore, wearing black to a wedding would be considered shocking, if not downright scandalous. But luckily for us, the times have changed! Now that we’ve discovered that black is always a chic choice, they’ve become a classic sighting at weddings. And not just for the guests.

If you’re stuck picking your colour theme, then why not take your focus off which shade you want and instead look at tones. Trust me, once you know how bright or muted you want to go, everything will get a lot easier!
