GOLDEN GLOBES

The Golden Globes is not just about recognising excellence in film and television – it’s about glamour! It is on the red carpet that we see our favorite celebrities adorning the creations of the world’s greatest designers. Ralph Lauren, Dior, Valentino and Armani- just to name a few!
At Bridesmaids Only, we love watching the Golden Globes as a medium of inspiration. Here on the red carpet, you as a bride can gain insight into the latest trends, the hottest colours, hair, make-up and how it all works together. It’s a visual runway show for potential maids and it comes right to your television screen. It shows you what kind of styles work and how to accessorise the look.
The 2014 Golden Globes spoke of simple elegance. Bright, statement colour dresses graced the red carpet in midnight blue, peach, fuchsia pinks, rich emerald and turquoise green. These bold colours were contrasted by a flock of others embracing glitzy, glamorous neutrals. Many celebrities wore body-contouring gowns, which fell into subtle, swept trains. Such silhouettes were complimented with sweetheart necklines, cap sleeves, and gentle fishtail or A-line skirts. One-shoulder strapped dresses, striking panel-line details were also popular aesthetics for the celebrity designer gowns. Modern lace patterned gowns were a feature for some, while others wore stark dresses and played with bold and colourful jewellery.
Stuck for ideas? Here is what we loved on the Red carpet….

Rocking Red on the red Carpet Red was the statement colour of the night. Stars made their entrance in rich rubies, fuchsias, maroons and peaches.
