Jillian and Sean’s Hawaiian Wedding

Imagine the ultimate destination wedding. Paris? Italy? Maybe Greece? Cast your eyes on a day filled with tropical magic – and only Hawaii can provide it. The bride wore a ‘Berlin’ gown from Ines Di Santo – a strapless sheath dress with a sweetheart neckline including a blush undertone as well as a luscious lace overlay. Tempted for an outdoor wedding?
Classical and romantic, Jillian had her heart set on a theme..
“For our ‘Save the Dates’ we made custom travel themed boarding passes to Maui with our wedding date and venue on them through zazzle.com.au. And my bridesmaids wore floor length mix and match dresses with varying pink tones including blush, rose and pearl. I wanted them all to have different dresses that they would feel comfortable in. In the end I was able to find each one a dress that was unique to them, but also fit into my classic romantic theme”.
An intimate wedding of forty guests, the non traditional ceremony was somewhat personal to Jillian and Sean. “We decided to honour our mother’s with a traditional Hawaiian Lei exchange which was quite special. Overall the ceremony was short and sweet”.
If these photos aren’t enough to tempt you, could we sweeten the deal by telling you the wondrous decorations spread across the venue?
“We had classic ivory farm tables with chiavari chairs which sat under some chandeliers. Our tables had an assortment of floral arrangements in different cut glass vases. We also incorporated quite a few candles on the tables and through out the venue. The bar was under a fairy light covered mango tree”, Jillian tells us.
And let us not forget the sweetest treat of all..
“Our wedding cake was a simple, single tiered chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. We had the florist put a few flowers on the top to compliment our table arrangements. We also had a donut bar and a lolli scramble with candy from all over the world. Small bags with the saying “A Sweet Ending to a New Beginning” were provided so our guests could take the desserts on the bus ride to the after party.”
