Samantha and Mitchell’s Kirribilli Wedding

There comes a time when a bride wants something a little different for her wedding. Why not add a sparkle here or there to make that day extraordinary! (and fun too)
“We had a ‘wine ceremony’ during our ceremony where we had a special bottle of wine that we put cards in to open and have on our first anniversary. We also wrote our own vows which was really special”, Samantha tells us.
Hosted at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron in Kirribilli, couple Mitchell and Samantha couldn’t have asked for better company. With a reception filled with hilarious speeches, live bands and dancing, what else could a pair of newlyweds need? And let us not forget the bride’s breathtaking strapless gown flowing ever so elegantly to the floor.
“Our bouquets were round shaped with mine created by roses and peonies. The bridesmaids had the same with a little burgundy tones. In the reception space, we had flowers down the centre of the long tables and round flower bowls on the round tables”, Samantha says.
With such a beautiful wedding reception, we couldn’t help but notice the uniqueness of the cake!
“Our cake looked classic and formal at the front and as a surprise for my husband I had the back decorated with his favourite movie. The back looked like the cake was pealing open and on the two tiers were Star Wars decorations and characters! It was so fabulous and really really delicious!”
