Kylie and Patrick’s Rustic Yandina Wedding

Winter weddings are always an elegant, magical affair – and bride Kylie knew exactly what she wanted for the perfect day with fiancé Patrick.
“I wore the perfect, full-sleeve lace gown created by Sottero and Midgle — the bridesmaids wore “Sammi” in the burgundy colour.”
“We had worked with our celebrant to make the ceremony very personal and had answered “secret questions” about one another which were a surprise to hear on the day”, she tells us. “Our florist (Wallflower Floral Design in Brighton, Brisbane) created stunning bouquets of pinks, reds, oranges, sea holly, peonies, spray roses, amaranth, with lots of green foliage and texture!”
The reception was the definition of true sublimity with “Gorgeous fairy lights lining the ceiling, even draped down behind the bridal table. There were garlands of flowers, scattered with candles, and Patrick made a wooden table number for each table.”
Our hearts can take no more. We’re already head over heels in love with Yandina Station, QLD. Do you know each guest received a piece of local, delicious white chocolate scattered with pistachios? Thanks to Chocolate Country!
“These were wrapped in clear cellophane and placed in the wine glasses on the tables. We made our own seating chart out of an old frosted window pane and created our own photo booth. Guests could dress up, snap a polaroid and stick them in!”
What about the dessert of the evening?
“Our wedding cake was a two-tiered naked cake drizzled with seasonal fruit from “Sweetness Contained” in Noosa.”
