Bridesmaids’ dresses
“2 shades of grey, so 3 in a lighter colour silver & 2 in dark charcoal. All different styles as all different bodyshapes. 2 had strapless style, 2 had 1 shoulder style, 1 had sheer covering over shoulders. The bridesmaids chose their gown my only pre –requisite were that they were long. All girls wore matching pearls.”
Invitations
“Lace envelope with a cream paper insert. I tried to have as much lace as I could, throughout the wedding.”
Flowers
“My fantastic florist Lina & Chanele Rose chose the exact flowers – I just gave her a brief, i wanted pastel colours, tight bouquets, my bouquet wrapped in pearls with the bridesmaids having a brooch on each of theirs.”
Ceremony
“Traditional Serbian Orthodox ceremony, I was walked in by my father & the best man, the best man’s job is to protect me & deliver me safely to my husband who is waiting at the altar. The most special moment is where we were crowned each other’s King & Queen & our hands are bound in traditional cloth to tie us together for life.”
Reception
“Our reception was a mix of Serbian music & classic hits. Having waited 6 years for a proposal, Etta James At Last was our bridal waltz. We did have a Same Day Edit, where I had recorded the backing track Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years. I surprised Marko when the Same Day Edit started to play & told him it was me singing. I had hand made a vintage treasure chest for people to leave their wedding cards in. Decorated with lace.”

“Fresh Flowers & candles along my bridal table, babies breath for all tables, with candles. Simple & Classic.”

“Styled by She Designs Events & Jardine Botanic, the enchanted hollywood theme flowed through the ceiling with lush branches & floral decorations hanging amongst Egyptian antique lights & chandelier; the tables were covered in tea lights, flowers, mercury glass votives & candles; table numbers were the names of old Hollywood actors, the bride & groom sat on large butterfly cane chairs and behind them the mantle was draped in greenery, vines & had large candles, there were also more cane chairs & coloured antiqued lounges in the courtyard with more tea candles, flowers & fairy lights.”
